2008 FRC Museum & Community Education Expo
An educational conference for homeschooling children and their families

Join us for a weekend of American Ed-ventures and connect with other homeschooling families! Inspired by the upcoming election (and in the spirit of fun, learning and good citizenship), this year's theme highlights significant historical and scientific events from America's past that will encourage students to think of ways that they too can make a difference in our country's future.

Your entire family will enjoy their stay at the lovely BOXBOROUGH HOLIDAY INN HOTEL. Your rooms are in the same building, adjoining the exhibit hall, classrooms, on-site restaurant and indoor heated swimming pool!

For overnight reservations at the hotel, please call them directly at 978-263-8701 and be sure to ask for the FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER MUSEUM EXPO to get the special rate of $99.00 per night (plus tax). Discounted room rates expire on August 17, 2008. Regular room rates start at $165.00 per night.

General admission also includes access to the 13,000 square foot EXHIBIT HALL, showcasing 85 interactive Museum & Community Educators and Vendors, displaying their best educational programs and resources in the form of creative booth exhibits!

Throughout Friday & Saturday our exhibitors will offer your students a variety of EDUCATIONAL HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS AND PRESENTATIONS. We've even added a TEEN-VENTURE Teen-track this year catering to our students ages 13 and up!  (unlimited workshops and presentation included with your Member-only Special Admission Package)

Feedback From Past Attendeeds

We want to congratulate you on a fantastic weekend and conference you put together! The atmosphere was very pleasant. friendly and informative. As a homeschooling mom it was SO NICE to be able to "just be", letting someone else take care of my kid's interests while I sat and watched my kids with "new eyes". I also participated a lot but it was nice to see my kids in action with someone else. I couldn't get them to go asleep in our hotel room on Friday night as they recounted all of their wonderful experiences!

My kids and I had a great time, we learned a lot, I learned about some of their potential interests and we have new experiences and places awaiting us thanks to your eye -  opening events. Thanks again, we look forward to visiting many of the places that gave classes those days.
Best Regards, Vaughan family

Just wanted to let you and your staff know you did a wonderful job this year.  The time you spent on this really showed it was worth every dime we paid and more.  I think once people hear a first hand description of how well organized this was, how wonderful the hands on presentations were, and how great the family Mardi Gras Party was they will come every year.

Great Expo! Wonderful Job! You are the queen of detail and excellence!

Casey family

Just wanted to thank all of you at the FRC  for providing the FRC Expo this past weekend.  We had a great time.  The workshops were excellent.  We also had a lot of fun at the Mardi Gras party, and breakfast with Ben Franklin.  Thank you for all of your hard work. We met alot of great people, this was very helpful for our family since we are new to homeschooling.
Sincerely, The Sullivan family

I just wanted to say thank you. The Museum Expo was wonderful! It was our first time attending, and we had such a good time.  We hated to see it end. It was so nice to see so many homeschoolers all together like that.  It definitely made us feel less "alone", and I'm sure everyone there felt the same way. My son really enjoyed the "Chess Tactics & Strategies" workshop.  The instructor and his wife were such nice people, we kept finding ourselves back at their table to chat and Cheryl Melody's concert was the cherry on top.  Everyone left her room smiling!  You did an unbelievable job bringing all this together!

I want to thank you for a terrific job with the EXPO!  My oldest son said it was his top ten most favorite events ever, so what do you know?

From the Breuer family

Just wanted to congratulate you on a successful conference and thank you for all the work you did to make the vendors comfortable. The kids and the parents were great and I enjoyed the two days. Best of luck with next year's bigger and better conference.
